Our Interests
Dancing!
There are plenty of places to go to dance if you are young and twenty-something, but
where can the rest of us go? Maggie and I have searched our native San Francisco Bay
Area for places where middle aged people feel comfortable, have enough room to swing
dance, and can still get served a glass of wine. Check out Jim and Maggie's Favorite

Music
I am a tenor and a French Horn player, and have participated in the following
organizations:
opportunities to sing and play!
Amateur Radio
I have been an active amateur radio operator since childhood. My present interests
include balloon-lifted antennas, Field Day and other contests involving large temporary
outdoor antennas (e.g. the 160-meter contests), data modes of operation, and
emergency preparedness.
Hiking
Weekends when we are home in California often find us hiking somewhere in the
Midpeninsula Open Space or on Mt. Tam.

- Crescendo
- I occasionally play in the "pit orchestra" for local theatre groups, including the
Sunnyvale Community Players and the South Bay Musical Theatre - I am an alum of arguably the best large chorus in the area, Schola Cantorum.
